Default help me build/choose my bottom end

I will be getting my mti stage 2 heads and cam in about a month. I decided that since I will be running the heads/cam and a tnt 100 shot I will redo my bottom end since it has 63000 miles.

my mti heads are milled to like 11:1 compression. I want to run pump gas.
what pistons are good to get but won't bump the compression above being able to run pump gas(93-94 octane)

anyone sell a bottom end kit?

Can a LS1 BE BORED? or just honed for new pistons?????????????????

thanks

LS1 blocks cannot be overbored, they must be resleeved to increase cubes with that method. They can be lightly rehoned though, no problem.

I'd suggest some good billet rods and forged pistons. The stock crank will probably handle 600+ rwhp of abuse no problem.

You can order all those custom parts directly from MTI since you are getting the heads from them. Custom internal LS1 parts are not really "off the shelf" just yet.

Go ahead and order new bearings, rings, head bolts, gaskets, etc.. while you are at it.

thanks!

So the pistons will be std bore, and just have my block honed? get stock gm rings for aftermarket pistons?

stock gm bearings?

I just talked to mti and they mostly onld deal with big bores, so where can I get the std bore (with hone) pistons/rings and billet rods?

thanks!
