Default another top end cleaner question and water wetter question also.

i was thinking of putting the top end cleaner through my motor by using the egr hole. i dont have a funnel small enough for the fresh air port or the pcv line and the egr hose is easy to get off and ive done it before. would this be too big of a vacuum leak for the engine to run even with the funnel in the hole? or would taking the egr out with the engine running be a bad idea in the first place? the spark plug removal and the other more complicated things are NOT an option.

also i saw water wetter at the auto parts store while i was there. does it help by itself with no other changes (fan switch, cooler thermo.)? my engine runs way too hot for my liking and if i can just pour that in and get it to run a bit cooler for cheap ill be happy. i know the drag racers use it in place of antifreeze.

Easiest way is to take a piece of hose. Attach one side to the PCV inlet on the throttle body and stick the other end in the bottle of cleaner. The vacum will take care of the rest.

i took care of the top end cleaner with my greddy catchcan hose, it worked perfectly with the fresh air port. what about the water wetter?

The Water Wetter does work, but is most effective with water only in your cooling system. I don't believe it has a very big effect with antifreeze.

I have seen up to 5-10 degrees cooler temps with straight watter and the Water Wetter.

you can also suck it in through the vaccume hose going to your brake booster but the most effective way to do it is to take the spark plugs out and let them soak over night. as far as water wetter the most effective use for it is to mix it with distilled water not tap water <img border="0" alt="[Camaro]" title="" src="graemlins/camaro.gif" />
