What cam to go with....Help me make a decesion....:)
Would that be a good choice??
And what are my other options, I want a strong all motor cam....
IF you are staying all motor then i would say to get some sort of split duration cam. Whose heads are you goin with? What about the stage 3's and a wacky cam like we always talked about. The rest of the drivetrain will handle it.
But for now its going to just be a solid heads/cam car...
I would go to the track often if my car stayed running...
I run it in a daily driver with no problems at all and picked up 30 rwhp over my old T1. (221/221 .58/.558 112).
I'd highly recommend it.
It's a 230/227 .591/.571, 112.

How often do you go to the track? You have this thing set up like a
race car.(A3 w/manual valve body,12 bolt,ect...)Now a big cam.
Just curious what your goals are.
Good luck.
I need to make a choice soon...
This car will be driven a lot on the street.....
S2 heads w/2.02/1.57 valves.............
I want a cam that will lope hard and make excellent power....
I made 353rwhp and 375rwtq w/my current 222/222 .563/.563 112lsa cam w/stock heads that was through a TH400 w/a non locking 4500 "5000" stall converter....
I defiently want to go with a custom grind from comp cams, X-ER lobe...
The one I'm liking right now is the 230/230 .585/.585 112lsa....(will there be any P to V clearance issues w/this cam??)
Any other suggestions are welcome...I want it to be a strong all motor car and only want to spin it to like 6800...I want to keep the bottom end around for a while...
The MTI "X1" sounds like a good cam too, I would like to hear from a few other people about it though...

I can't wait to get my car back and take it to the track in the fall weather...
TTT on this....
Do you need to cut valve reliefs in the piston to run the "X1" cam...
Also, how much is the X1?
