What happened? It looked like a rod went bye-bye, cracked the block, got the crank, and all other sorts of fun stuff. What was the engine doing when it happened?

The good thing is its already up and running after a 6 month wait. Man it sucks being young and broke
I think what fireball said is what happened. I have a feeling the motor didnt like the high shift points and let go. The sad thing was the motor only had 10k miles on it.

since that wasnt the origina motor may i ask who built it? or was it just a low miles car?
were all of the crank bearings burnt up or just the ones that went wrong.. could have been the oiling

I havent took the main caps off I just wanted to take the oil pan off to see what went wrong. Im pretty sure it was the rod bolt.
