Lingenfelter Dry Sump System

I am definatly going to be getting into one of these for ORR purposes.
I might be giving him a call about a possible GP.
The whole kit from ARE is really nice and quality stuff, but the total weight of the ARE dry sump kit which includes: the dry sump pan, dry sump tank & the scavenge pump, and along with all the other things needed to make it complete and funcuntional that were not part of the kit (ie) the oil cooler, remote oil filter mount & filter(fram HP-6), Omni micron oil filter, Steffs oil breather, flex lines, AN fittings & 3 mounting brackets that needed to be fabbed and the oil came out to 70 lbs. BTW, the whole dry sump system holds 15 quarts of oil!
Needless to say oil changes have gotten expensive.
Another thing is that the ARE kit still utilizes the stock oil pump to supply oil to the motor.
I also have the ATI Super/Damper that came with the kit, but the one I recieved wasn't 10% underdrive, it was more like 60% underdrive. Basicly a ASA race pulley, because the dry sump kit I have is the exact same kit that the ASA race cars use.
I have a pic of the dry sump pan that was modified by Allan on the Futral Motorsports web site, or you can just click on my modifications in my signature and it will take you right to the site.

I have a local outfit that gets a lot of used NASCAR stuff, and I could pick up a Barnes pump and all the hoses and fittings somewhere in the neighborhood of $750. I would have to make the tank. Isn't 15 quarts a bit excessive. Wouldn't 10 - 12 suffice? I'll have to ponder this. Maybe I'll just go with the Holden pan.
