No problem guys. I wouldn't have beleived the Hotcam could dyno that well myself but after seeing a few others around me dyno in the 390rwhp+ range with stock heads/tuning I decided to give it a try. These are only dyno numbers and I think track times tell the whole truth. We will see what kind of times shortly.

Does NO ONE else notice the spike at the end of the dyno?

385 rwhp is still not too bad. Congrats.

Awesome numbers!

That 13.0 AFR has got to help, too. Don't waste your money on tuning, because it doesn't get any better than that.

350rwhp is really good before the cam and UD pulley, too.

Yeh I saw that too. Now I'm wondering how much more I could get if I raised the limiter from 6200rpms...

Do you guy's think I'll gain anything with a higher than stock limiter?

SWEEET!! I think i can do it also. If i had the intake. I just Dyno'd 372.9 out of my 98 with 0 tuning. I still have some porting to do in my TB. And some KR to work out. Then if I had the Ls6 intake like your 2002. I would like to think i was there with you.
Anyhow Congrats! I LOVE this cam! And I dont get outrun by other cams with similar mods at the track. So dont listen to all the hotcam haters! You can see my Dyno chart on my post in this topic.

I'll take better times over better horsepower numbers anyday.

Guys, it happens. There are some freak cars out there and sometimes the way a computer has adjusted itself works out just perfect for a hotcam. Get over it.

If I can find my friends graph of his hotcam car I'll post it. I beleive he was the original 390+rwhp hotcam guy on the internet.

430hp is definitely a nice number, but were talking about a $400 cam kit, not $2500 worth of heads and cam.

Those are great numbers, george! I am having my hot cam installed in a couple weeks (with PCM tuning - A4). If I can get my car to dyno 360 or more RWHP with my mods (basically all the bolt-ons inc. LS6 intake and ported TB), I will be very happy

I'll make sure to post my numbers when I get them

Congrats again!

Awesome #'s. With a raised limiter you probably won't see any more power on the dyno, however it will enable you to put your car directly in the power band on shifts and run better track results. I have seen that the Hotcam is best shifted at ~6400 or so. Again, those are some BAD *** #'s. A lot of the newer "magical" cams are making about that much on stock headed cars...

Well i had the hot cam
I dynoed 389hp and 384 tq with it.
I now have the T1 cam and dynoed
391hp and 389 tq.
But there is a big difference at the track.
Hot cam 114 traps
T1 118 traps

Mechman - Can you post or email me both dyno sheets and both timeslips. You're one of the few that have done both and have dyno and timesheets. Also list and mod difference (if any).

My email address is JohnSkiba@PACEPerformance.com

Thanks,
John Skiba
