Depend on the cam lobe and the amount of advance ground into the cam there is a good chance you may have to cut the piston. You just need to check it. I would recommend no less the .080-.090. Hope this helps...

Would you need to flycut for a 230/228 .591/.581 112lsa w/2.0 degrees of advance?

Slammed Vette, you already have a 226/234 cam with big lift right? I think you are barking up the wrong tree if looking for any significant power. What are you hoping to achieve by the swap?

Leave in the cam you have. You can't go much bigger and be able to sleep well at night. Piston to valve clearance will be an issue if you go much bigger than what you have already.

Just buy the supercharger...all that extra exhaust duration your cam has now will probably help out.
