Re: Bent Push rods?
Dude, Its very easy to check your pushrods. Remove valve covers, remove rockers, and pull them out. Really very easy. If you cant see an obvious bend, roll them on a glass surface. Hitting the rev limiter is not a bad thing! I had one that was bent pretty good, and a few that were mildly bent. But, it never made any strange noises, and it never slowed the car down!

Be careful when choosing aftermarket shifters, i put a B+M Ripper in mine because of missed shifts with Factory Hurst, but B+M has no real bias to center shifter, and this can easily cause 3rd to second gear screw ups, i did it twice under power and decided to put Hurst back in! Im going to put short handle and T-**** on Hurst and go racin!

I know we all have our own opinions. I highly recommend the ripper shifter. Im at the track once or twice a week and have never missed a shift. MY 02
