I have a buddy selling his complete JE piston assmembly which includes pistons, rods, bolts, and main bearings for $350. It has 10,000 miles of 200 shot abuse, and was wondering how much this setup would allow me to spray on top of my heads/cam setup???
Would this assembly cause me any p/v clearance issues?
I know I'd also need a fuel pump to go with this stuff, am I leaving out any internals or anything else?? The drivetrain is ready to handle this...I dunno about the tranny though.

The reverse split is great for power, and with my heads peaked at 6300rpm, which is a lot lower than I thought it would <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> That may change once I redyno with my new fuel filter (my fuel pressure and a/f ratio were all really low) and some more tuning.

I know that JE pistons are really good pistons I am gonna put them in my stroker.I can bet money that the pistons will take 250 275 easy but i would still check on the rods.

JE Pistons are the way to go! If those pistons that he has have had some hard spray on them, you better make sure that there not deformed. Get the specs on them and have them checked. No piston on a 250 shot will live forever and there's no sense sticking them in a new motor.
You can run a nice dose of spray on the stock pistons as long as you don't hit it below 3000 rpms, don't have any detonation and have a decent fuel system. Check it on a dyno for a min. 12.7-12.8 AF.
I run a 100 shot on a 11.6:1 cam head setup.
