Nice numbers man and nice peaks too!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
You may be right about the 229 cam. Interested to see your results! Nothing like 12:1 compression on 104 unleaded and 32 degrees timing hehehe!!
Cheers,
Chris

What kind of gains have you seen from more timing? My setup doesn't really seem to respond to more ignition advance, so I've got it @ 25deg. right now. I think I may be loosing some low-mid range HP with the reduced timing, though. I need to experiment with some more tuning at the track.

I didn't see any dyno changes going from 28 to 32 but I have 2 tunes...one at 28 and one at 32 so I'll see if there are any track changes

You would think the smaller cam would help you with area under the curve.. This will be a interesting test..

I don't think there will be much difference, they are both decent size cams.

Though I can say..it sounds like a stock idle at the current 1100 rpm idle speed <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

you might actually want to sacrifice a few peak HP for the bump in torque and better idle.
If it is more than a 5RWHP drop at peak after tuning I would be very surprised <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Fireball has the XE ramps for the 232 cam, not the XE-R ramps. If the MMS 229 cam outperforms it, could be that it that has faster ramps. I guess he needs to test a 232/232 110 on XE-R ramps next. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I do think the 229 has slightly faster ramps...I think I'll lose 2 degrees of .050 duration (232 to 230) and ~4 degrees of adv duration.

interesting change should be the 112 to 114 LSA difference

May try a TR230/224 111 next <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
