If you couldn't turn it over with a breaker bar, then unfortunately, it is probably toast. If you have water in the oil then you have serious engine damage. Put it back stock and call your insurance company.

Sorry man.

I'm totally in agreement with "1320". As soon as we begin modifying our cars, we have to accept responsibility for whatever happens, better or worse. I hope you can fix the problem and get back on the road soon.

The problem i think is that when a engine is not under load, it accualty sucks water in from the exhaust, now when i go through puddles, i make sure the engines is at a higher rpm then lets just say cruising around rpm, you accualty sucked water in to the heads, just my opinion

Maybe that .5 RWHP from the FTRA would bring your car back up to the 300rwhp level it was at before that muffler. The FTRA has shown a .10 or greater improvement on several cars (mine included, which is probably more than all of your cars mods to date). And I'm sure others here will agree that a cutout is one of the BEST cheap mods that you can do. And I think it sounds pretty damn good for a cost of about $50 bucks installed! Yeah swap on a stock airbox.

Eight inches of water, well all bets are off. That's above my door sills.

You said the FTRA was the "silliest mod ever", I was trying to illustrate that you have the 3 silliest mods ever, IMO. (Cutout, Hurst, Flowmaster), and the thread is about the FTRA causing the damage, BTW. As far as you not buying the muffler for performance, sound only, that is very ricerific , sounds alot like a fart pipe mod to me. As far as personal insults, where are they??? Flamers like me that cause problems on the boards? Ok, sorry, but for the $80 you spent on the muffler, the $300 you spent on the shifter, and the $50 you spent on the cutout, you could have bought some real mods. Its all good, whose panties are in a bunch???

And about the hurst shifter.. It wasn't a mod! The car already came with it.. I simply put it in my sig to better describe my car to people who are interested...

And by the way, your whole reply was one big personal attack.

Hydrolocking is NOT a myth. When your engine digests water, well let just say, water DOES NOT compress like air/fuel mixture does. It does not compress AT ALL. That's why the engine would not even crank over. Try what the others have said, remove all the plugs, turn the engine and get all the water out, then try and start it. Maybe you will get lucky, but I know somebody that it happened to one time (girl had a carb sticking out of the a hole in the hood of a '78 T/A WITHOUT the fiberglass "shaker" on top, and only a paper air filter element on top, driving in the rain....) it bend gour piston rods, almost breaking two.

I am not sure what advice people gave you as I quit reading them because some people are idiots. I hydrolocked my engine about a year ago and my insurance paid for it. If you went through at a low RPM/MPH your engine should be fine. If you are lucky, the starter may be your only problem. I had a LOT of water in #7 and #8. After it was drained out, a new starter was welded back on. Aside from having a starter welded on (kinda shitty but oh well), my car still runs like a champ and I haven't had any problems since. The total cost to fix it was $1300. Don't worry about it. Good luck.

Damn boys! Take it easy on the kid. Sure he could have titled the thread differently but I didn't read it as him "blaming" Fast Toys. He just meant that due to him having the FTRA on his car, his engine chugged a small lake. Damn, it's like a bunch of turkeys jumping a wounded hen.
