Got a little giddy and wanted to get out of the car to check valvetrain noise..
oil psi went to 40 right away.

This is on the stock tune... idle is around 1700, had to disconnect the pcv to get a decent idle.

Ill post the raw sound from the rear some time this week after a small tune.

car will not be 100% tuned untill after a 98 - 02 pcm change over.
Congrats,
By disconnecting the PCV you had a lot of unmetered air and that is not a wise thing to do. Be careful in you anticipation to drive that thing, get it tuned asap.

Was just gonna say that.

I think (no offense) that it sounds like *** idling that high. Get the idle down, I want to hear the chop. Otherwise, congratulations

That thing has a little over 18 degrees of overlap so a low RPM idle will be out of the question. Even idling at 1700 rpm it was loping pretty bad.

You underestimate my tuner =P

Idle will be set to around 950... I hope

The biggest thing is 98's are a nightmare to tune. Thats why I'm stressing getting this 02 pcm done.

Can you get a pic of it? The seats are a really snug fit once you drop them in.

You are talking about the Dark colored seats, right? not the titanium Retainers?
Yes, it's wierd. It looks like these two were pressed because the bottom is curved up into the lip. Like a washer was pressed onto a pole making a seat out of it. I called TSP and they want me to send them a pic but I have to wait until I get home oobviously before I can do that.

I also noticed that some have an angled lip and some it's exactly square or even. Strange that I got 3 diff seats with the kit.

Exactly what I've heard. Everything that I've heard with people running into issues are with ported or milled heads.

To be 100% honest, the pcv was shot.. so I yanked it all off to put some new tubing on...

It might run with it on.. but i doubt it..

I think you have serious misconceptions about working on your motor. Don't take this the wrong way but you are doing what is not supposed to be done.

MS4 110 will have unsafe PTV clearance and you'll kiss your pistons. Just because a cam allows the motor to turn over, doesn't mean it clears.
Be prepared to get some valve work done and possibly a new motor.
You have been warned
