Engine smoking horribly. Help.
What, if any thing, can I do to make it stop? Let it run some more and change the oil. Run the stock PCV system? Although I don't want all that oil and smoke going through my engine. No smoke comes out the exhaust so I know it isn't valve seals or valves. It can only be the rings. I don't know what to do? I will even try the compression restoreing engine crap from Auto Zone if I have to. I think today I will run a compression test and leak down test and see what I get. The cylinder walls didn't look good but they didn't look all that bad either when I put it in. Actually my 30,000 mile engine that came out had more cross hatching left than this engine.
I just put all this time, effort and money into getting this thing running to the detrament of time spent with my family to only have to tear it out, spend more money and put it all back together. If I can avoid all of that I will. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

1=226, 2=130, 3=129, 4=120. Passanger side five to eight. 5=225, 6=225, 7=230, 8=230. So cylinder 2-4 are shot. I will do a leak down next but I don't really see a reason to now. The cylinders are bad and I will have to tear the whole thing out again and have it honed and re-ringed. So there is another month at least of my life with out the car. I think I am just going to do a 383 or somthing. The good news is I talked with the seller and I am getting a partial refund to recover the repairs. I guess that is all I could hope for.

I did a leak down test on two of the better low cylinders and there was about 25% leak down. I didn't do the last really bad cylinder but I would guess 35% or more given the compression readings.
