Default The b1 and c1 cam from MTI

Has anyone ever used either of these cams with stock heads on a auto ls1 with headers. If so what did u dyno at hp and torque to the rear. What cam would u rather have the b1 or a c1 from mti with headers, valvesprings, retainers, chromoly pushrods, ls1 edit and auto-tap. Or is neither of these cams, then which one would work great for a car with stock heads. Thanks for ur help

I have the c1 cam but I have mildly ported heads and just laid down 389hp/382tq at thunder racings dyno day and cam is very streetable. It has a nice lope but with ls1 edit it is no problem at all. my hp and tq curve is very nice and holds a flat line from 5800 to 6700 rpms and the tq is from 3900 to 5300 straight across. you will like this cam but from what I hear the b1 is another excelant choice <img border="0" alt="[Fluffy]" title="" src="graemlins/fluffy.gif" /> this is an m6 car though

I dynoed at 347 hp to the rear and 368 torque with a auto and headers at mti. I have heard really good things about both cams the c1 and b1 and i am just trying to find out which would be better for an automatic with no head work.

Steve350 dynoed 397ish with stock heads/C1 (Hammer cam), and full bolt ons/A4/Yank TP4400 verter.

MMiller dynoed like 392ish with stock heads/C1 (Hammer cam), and full bolt ons/A4/Yank ST3500 verter.

Both are members of this forum...email them and ask them what all they did.

There is a LOT of Hammer and B1 cam info on my web page... peruse it and if you have any questions fire away.

As an added twist, consider the C1 on a 114 L/S instead of the 112. It will idle even smoother, (and make comparable power)
Though the C1 does not have bad idle characteristics "as is".

Addios and good luck in your cam hunting.
