What would be the max horsepower out of a 346ci Solid Roller?

Good luck in your decision!
With a nice set of LS6 heads and a ported holley or sheetmetal intake feeding the heads and a powerband from 6000-8000 in a light car with a lot of gear you could go 9s on motor
I know someone who built a 355" sbc with a great set of heads/cam/carb/intake combo and with super high compression (sprint car application i think it was 14:1) the car made 610hp at the crank on gasoline.
With the better design of the LSX heads...you should be able to do the same IMO.

Vince, if you want to beat everything for the next 10 years you will need to go BIG cubes and SOLID. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> I would rather go big and not have to spin the motor as high then stay stock ci and spin it to the moon. Not to mention staying pump gas friendly. <img border="0" alt="[whiner]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cry.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

If you want to beat everything for the next ten years, bolt on a couple of turbos. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> If you don't want to go with the turbo route, bolt on an ATI Procharger. The Corvette guys I know are barfing out some serious power on stock bottom ends. <img border="0" alt="[barf]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_barf.gif" /> Even with stock heads they haul ****....... <img border="0" alt="[Camaro]" title="" src="graemlins/camaro.gif" />
Good luck in what ever you decide,
