head gasket question??
What is the difference between using a smaller head gasket (0.040 cometic) and milling heads to X amount compared to using a gm mls head gasket(0.052 ?) and milling the heads more than X?
The quench would be less in the first instance, but how would that compare to more milling and a thicker gasket in the second instance?
What differences in performance would there be?

By using a thinner gasket you tighten up the quench area, milling does not do this. Tight quench area aids in prevention of detonation and promotes evenly mixed combustion.
