JS I meant with the combined power and weight reduction he should have 4 tenths.

Also you took more than a "little" weight out of your car <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
cheers,
Chris

PaiN, you better start draining all the kaka out of that converter I think I need to get it from you (thx Col for answering the question on whether it was the 10.03 converter).

I have nothing else to change. Just will add FTRA and the COLonel 'verter. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Ragtop, HC/I cars at least once ran 114mph that same nite.

Is the Col/ S1 cam a 612/612//244/244//112 cam from Comp?

If so that's what I have now. It's more camming than my old Lunati 242/242//114 and it's idling high at like 1200 we think we can get it to idle at 950-1000 but I have to fill in one of my two big idle air holes.

Yes, that is the S1 cam you have. Funny how all four of this site's Admins have the same cam right now.

Now we just need one of them to get into the 10s!

If that is similar to your 'hood, then you may not be as far off as you think. If you are running 6 - 8 mph faster then H/C/I cars, you are definitely getting power from your extra cubes.

Chris I dont mean to burst your bubble but my car weighed 3562lbs when I ran the old combo,It now weighs 3518lbs with the S2X combo. Its alttle lighter but nothing rediculous...

My biggest problem was selling my TP4200 and buying the BIG Dyna's.Now that I'm going back to the YANK/HOOKERS I think I'm gonna be very happy....

Thanx for another one of your pop shots at my car,Frosty. <img border="0" alt="[bullshit]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_bs.gif" />

LOL!

"I dont mean to burst your bubble but my car weighed 3562lbs when I ran the old combo,It now weighs 3518lbs with the S2X combo. Its alttle lighter but nothing rediculous..."

I dont understand?

You lost weight yourself (~35 pounds or something? which is great BTW <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> ), added Kmember/A-Arms (44 pounds), HALs (8 pounds) removed AC (~25 pounds), interior stuff, Camaro seat, Juk etc, DS2's and what else?

You added a 12 bolt. (+20-30 pounds?)

What am I missing here?
That IS more than a "little" weight reduction.

Just switch over to some MMS LS1 parts and you'll get where you want to go. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

but JS we're talking of numbers on the order of 3-4hp here. Do you think 3-4hp or even 8-9hp will make a big difference? Maybe .05th tops if its true, and probably no gain. Doesn't seem worth it to me.

Looks like there is still a gremlin in Dragula that dont want you into 10's. Did you ever check if the intake ports match the ports on the heads. There could be some misalignment that would cost you serious hp and torque. If the heads are milled or the block decked along with production tolerances the intake might not be lined up properly.

If you have already looked into this nevermind.

JS, IMO you are wasting time and money redoing stuff, I have done that too in the past.

I'd keep the headers. I'm sure with the right converter and shiftpoints you will run 10's you have a ton of good parts in the car.

PaiN, sent you mail, I'll try Colonel's old 10.06 converter I sent you my work address.

In the meantime I'll lower my 1-2 shift point to 6600 and install FTRA.
