Project LS1 Monte SS tips the dyno today at 424 RWHP/400 RWTQ!

I spent quite a few hours on the dyno today flogging my just installed MTI S2 heads with LS1_Edit. The best results were 424 RWHP & 400 RWTQ through mufflers and tailpipes (no CAT's). This is a gain of +33 RWHP and +29 RWTQ over stock heads. I was honestly hoping for a bit more based on what I see others reporting with S2 heads compared to stock ones but really can't (and shouldn't!) complain. I will port the LS6 intake next and see if I can't squeeze out a few more HP to get me to ~430 RWHP.

I actually got my best power runs pulling the timing back from 30° last time to 26° this time since I was seeing some Knock Retard at 28-30° with the A/F at ~12.9/13.1.

Geesh, it really is suprising how few responses you have gotten. All of a sudden a 420rwhp H/C car is not impressive? Not bad numbers at all man.

If you read the response above that I gave to PSJ, I think I found the timing-A/F sweet spot for nice torque numbers since the factory PCM drops timing to 23° in this midrange area whereas I added 5 more degrees here
