Default Any Problems Using Thicker Than Stock Head Gaskets?

I’m thinking about using the GM CNC ported LS6 heads (88958622). The drawback to this is that they are milled 0.055” I’m thinking about using head gaskets at least 0.040” thicker than stock to lower the compression down to a more reasonable level. Would the gaskets be reliable? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

Post this up in the forced induction section. I think those guys use the big gaskets w/ no problems.

I wouldn't go thicker than .078". Most people here don't like the idea and argue quench, but racers have been doing it for years.

Running .078" N/A with no probs right now.
