There is a loss of the peak torque number when using the short runner intake compared to the usual LS6 manifold but, up high this intake makes alot more HP. Remember this is a solid roller/jesel set-up that spins about 7500 rpm.

BTW the NA torque # was 49x...can't remember right now..

Some real kick *** numbers there, but I don't see that block taking that kind of abuse too much. Not a flame to MTI, but no matter who did the block, they just won't hold that kind of pressure long. But hey, it WILL kick *** while it spins.

Few questions to the guys at MTI.

1) On the nitrous setup, is it using direct port on that custom sheet metal intake, or just the two TNT nozzles?

2) How big is the nitrous shot for the 1st stage and 2nd stage? Are they both wet shots?

3) Was there any race gas or octane booster added for that run? Or is it just pump gas?

4) Is it using an aftermarket C5 fuel pump? If yes, which one.

Thanks guys. I can't wait until you finish with my iron 408 motor.

Cheers
-Tuan

My CF question was pointed to the temperature and pressure readings as printed on the dyno chart...those aren't the points at which the SAE correction factor considers "ideal" (or for a 1.00 CF). Am I incorrect in that observation?

Wonder how much power you guys would put down with a FAST SEFI system and a 3-Stage 300HP DRY setup on that monster?

Fuel and N20 control is soooo much more precise with a SEFI and real time wide band correction...

Damn impressive MTI. These guys never stop impressing me. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

BTW, My lil H/C/I TNT stock bottom end still made more torque <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> on a 100 kick at that <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I can't wait to see what that thing runs!!! When I was down in Houston this past weekend I had a chance to see this beast on the dyno - All I can say is WOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> And that was just the NA run. Going back to Houston every 2 months is definitely good for my soul. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

But I was think about moving the battery to the back and then put the fuel cell where the battery is.

Does the fuel cell seal pretty good? Can you smell any fuel inside if it is installed in the back of the car?

Mike, thanks for your speedy response. I'll stop by tomorrow. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

Another question to Mike@MTI.

Did you guys have to "O-Ring" the heads to the block?

Thanks

Awesome! Some major power <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />

Hey Tony,
How about an NA graph?
Also I know Stacey had LS6 intake with hyd cam before. I’m sure those runs are still on MTI computer.
Any chance you can post a NA graph of this setup over the old one?
Just curios how this intake change the power band.

Thanks.
