How did you break it - driving around the parking lot, or missed a shift and stuck in the wrong gear when revving the engine @6000rpm? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />

Could you provide some more details?
Thanks.

Stock cam, mechanical over rev from 3rd to 4th at 98mph. Bent 2 pushrods with it. Yes, I f*d up good.

Yes that would probably do it. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />

If I had an M6, I'm 100% sure I would have done something similar by now, but I have and A4 - stab & steer! LOL <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[Fluffy]" title="" src="graemlins/fluffy.gif" />

Actually no; I missed 4th altogether, never jammed it into 2nd. I believe at that speed and rpm, I mechanically over revved it hard. I 'heard' it go past the rev limiter. Many people will argue you can't over rev past the rev limiter, but hey, I have the damage.

CHRISREDTA on this board did it with a completely stock motor. I think he only had a lid and a catback at the time. It was weird.
