Greg, I don't have my spreadsheet tables w/ me, but I will double check the calculations when I do and post back later. Off the top of my head, I'm wanting to say somewhere between 32 and 36 lb/hr units. Lucas style injectors are generaly more stable at the pulse width extremes than pintle style injectors.

What is the down side if I leave the injectors stock. If one was to stop working could it lead to an overly lean/melted piston. What will Lucas inj set me back?
Thanks greg

PSJ wins a prize! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
There are some major assumptions in calculating fuel requirements. Assuming 10% drivetrain loss, you're talking about approximatly 475HP at the flywheel, so assuming a BSFC of 0.50 you're looking at about 35(+/-) lb/hr fuel requirement at an 85% duty cycle. At our stock rail pressure that's a 30# on the nose. I was thinking more in terms of total fuel and forgot to take into account our higher fuel pressure.
A set of flow matched lucas units will run $350 or more. Accel (pintle style) units can be had for $250, a Ford SVO (also pintle style) set for about $215.

I an looking for injectors for my 427. If John's 39 lb injectors work well in his 422, I assume they should work in a 427. Does Delphi make one this size, and if so, does anyone have the part number? Also, has anyone ever ran a Bosch injector?

I will be using the 36lb SVO's but you could get away with the 98,01,02 stockers...These are rated 28 lb and if im not mistaken GeorgeC has a set f/s cheap!!!!

At 59 psi fp on the ls1, a 30lbs injector is closer to 33-35lbs
I am running a SVO 30 in my car with my ARE stage 2 setup.
You will not need anything larger than 30's as is.
as far as you stroker guys, those 39's John is speaking of i believe are out of the GTP/GS 3800 supercharged cars.
Id suggest a set up bosch 42.5lbs injectors <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
These are the same injectors you see on "special" for $55.00-65.00. I sell them for $49.00 a piece all the time. i have 24 in stock right now.
As far as the 30's Summit sells them for 219.99. I normally sell them for $229.00 but if you call me and mention this thread i can match that for you guys.
