Default Need Camshaft Advice

I have 98 formula that is fully bolt on and runs 11.40's stock internal. My motor has 128K miles. Im thinkn about doing a cam soon but if i put one in, i wanted to go big. Would you guys recommend putting a cam in with this many miles? If, yes could i put a magicstick4 or G5X4 in without flycutting? Any replies would be nice, thanks Sam

if u replaced the whole valvetrain to handle that size of a cam, i think u would be good to go.

LOL, a good amount of weight reduction and good tuning. Have pretty much the best of the best bolt ons

Pushrods, springs, retainers... would i have to get new valves too? im trying to avoid taking the heads off the motor if possible.

i think with the right springs, pushrods, and a good tune you will be fine.

11.4s with jus bolt ons.

But look at his 60'!!!

He has slicks and a converter with boltons! Thatll do it! what gears?

Actually im using 275/50/15 M/T drag radials, i have a Moser 9" with 389 gears. want to run a 10 bolt but broke 3 of them and got tired of pullin it in and out . lol hoping to get 11.3's outta of the car soon, its a bit lighter with new headers.

I agree, i think as long as the valvetrain is solid the bottom end will do its job up to 6500rpm. I wont need much more than that anyways.

crane #1449611 cam and use #144833-16 springs, along with there #144661-16 titanium retainers and #25735-16 manley pushrods.

236/240 .600/600 112+5 hr5 lobes, I personally have not run this cam, but know people who have, and thet love it. 3800-6800 is it's rpm range, and peaks around 6450, i believe.

That seems like a good cam setup thats solid. Whats the highest lift i can have without cutting the pistons?
