Very observant jmX...looks like a 8-10hp spike at the end. The peak numbers are the ones displayed (includes the spike).

No, the spike at the end was not 8-10hp extra. I went back tonight and looked at the graph with the cursor option with the dynojet software. Peak #s before the spike were 453.x. Chris also had a few other 450-454rwhp runs yesterday as well.
Damn Justin, you broke your Tq arm too? lol Time for a BMR. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Daily Aluminum Block- I am running 4:10 gears with this setup. It depends on the motor. Jason99TA was running the TR224 cam and swiched to the TR230 and didn't lose any bottom end power. His car just picked up on the top end.
383ss- I think you can. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
Verbs- I will post them if I dyno without the shortbelt.
Jsears- I feel your pain. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
JMX and JP98SS- On the first pull I did 453 without a spike. The graph posted was with a one but not an 8-10 hp spike at the end. Just compare my old graph with the new and you will see.

After looking over both Chris's and Jsears dyno's, it seems that they are both losing hp throughout the entire rpm range until they reach 5500 to 6500 rpm's. Torque is predominantly higher with the 224/224, especially on Jsears car.
[Jsears: does your car feel faster with the 230 than the 224? What are you track times before and after the cam swap? Was anything else done to the car between those two dyno's?]
The numbers might be higher overall but what are the track time differences? With the GTP heads it appears the 224 is more efficient overall.
With stock heads, would the comparison numbers come out the same only lower? I remember hearing a few things about the 230 cam working much better with the stock heads vs. the 224 and stock heads.
Is there something I'm not aware of that would cause the loss in power with the 230 in the lower to mid rpm range? Thanks- Mike W.
One more thing: Is the 230 lope much more aggressive than the 224? How would you rate it? I bet these cars turn some heads.

Great numbers. I am getting the 224/GTP II heads installed by speed inc. Not to hijack this thread but what kind of gains do you think you gained from the ported TB. Does porting lead to any idle issues?
Keep us posted on track results. How did the 224 do at the strip?

SStolen- With stock heads Jason99TA did not loose any hp or tq. He gained up top. The TR230 lopes much harder than the TR224. I have not went to the track yet with the new cam, but I can tell you it revs faster than the TR224.
OPEN PLZ- about 5-8 rwhp on sum cars, and no idle issues with the TB being ported. New track times coming soon.
M-INENT 1-Thanks <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

I really don't know that answer. You would have to call Thunder racing and they may be able to find out for you.
