Which manufacturer did you get your cam from? What kind of mods, dyno numbers weight and trap speeds do you run?

What's up there Granny. Is a 221 to big for ya? Well i'll post anyway. With a B1 221/221 I ran a 12.7@113.5 babying it off the line with a stock clutch. I never got it dynoed.

Running a 216/220 cam from Comp Cams. Was running 13.02 in the 1/4. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> Car keep cutting out at half track. Found out that the wire going to the crank sensor burnt on the header. I believe I could have done at least 12.8 or lower. Was cutting 1.7 60 ft. Haven't run it since I fixed the wires, but will soon. Having issues with a ticking noise and broken 941 spring.

I ran 12.1 in good summer air with the comp XE 218/218 .55x 114 112. MPH was around 112. All bolt-ons plus the cam plus Ed Wrong tuning.

I have the TR220/114 cam in my car. Other mods are typical bolt ons, and I don't have the headers installed yet. The cam idles well with a slight lope, and no SES light so far. It pulls hard, but I am waiting for the headers to dyno. This is about the minimim cam I would suggest.

Other than a little more valvetrain noise, choppy idle and more power, I have noticed no change in my car. Definately no smoking or oil consumption problems. I think I have one of the few '01's that doesn't use oil anyway (<.5 quart in 3K).

Did any of you 'small' cam users start experiencing the threaded smoking or oil consumption problem ?
