heads and cam are in the car
i got the heads and cam in my car this weekend car sounds mean. i need to turn up the idle ill have to edit it tomarrow. the cnc ported ls6 heads went on with out a problem. the pushrods i used were 7.350 that yielded me almost 2 turns of preload thats what most people told me i would need. i had a problem with the timing chain had to do it twice because someone was talking to me while i was doing it "thanks pete".car did not want to idle so i punch out the tb hole to 1/4 that helped. im getting some missfire codes might be cause the car is surging to idle at 600.i guess ill turn the idle up to 900 . then i need to get to the dyno and tune the car i think im going to shift the car at 6800 and rev limit at 7000. car pulls hard upstairs from 4200 and up.maybe ill hit the dyno this week and i have no ping and the compressin is 11.0 to 1
lets see how it does

Excellent.. let me know when you go to dyno it, or when you decide to bring it out to the track!
Must sound good, huh! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[Burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" />

Re: heads and cam are in the car
George, does the cam you used have a stock base circle? I am installing the cnc ls6 heads on my car and want to make sure I have the right length
pushrods. the ls6 valves stems are longer and the cam I am using has a stock base circle. I have the heads bolted on and the rockers and pushrods
(7.35 length) installed. I crank the motor over and I got compression, but worried once I start the engine the lifters will pump up and prevent the valves from closing.
Thanks, jeremy
