Default Cam help, TSP Torquer V.2, V.3 or MS3???

Which would be the best for midrange and upper power?? What about low end and midrange?? What would you get and why, I have the V.2 on order BUT its going to take at least a week so if I change my mind I can call them, I dont want to be dissapointed with the v.2

I think I am going to call them and chage it from the V.2 (232/234 .595 .598 112 LSA) to tsp 233/239 .595 .603 112 lsa, does that sound good, i want more midrange to upper power than lower to midrange power.

*EDIT* Just called a got the tsp 233/239 cam instead, I figure it will give better midrange and upper power than the V.2

i say get the 233/239 on a 112, but on a 113 its not going to be that much different, i believe there 112 lsa is also ground advanced 2 degrees which is going to help midrange a little, i think they grind the 113 with 0 advance in it which would be slightly better for peak power

233/239 on a 112 is a really good cam, I have a 232/236 112 and it is very street friendly and pulls real good through the mid range and really good up top. Down low it drives just like a stock cam car with the exception of the idle, just a little bit lopey.

But you have different lift then me, will that make a big diff?? I never would have thought this would be such a hard decision to make, anyone else got any input?

The lift will work in your advantage, it will keep the same rpm powerband but will just flow more air when the valves are lifted.

No but it idles really good and is very tame sounding during normal driving, I have TD exhaust with spiral flow mufflers, sounds awesome. It doesnt really chop at all at idle, but part of that is my 950 RPM idle, I am going to lower it to get some more chop/lope.

If you drive the car on the street a lot it is a really good cam. I love it. A 233/239 is close to it.

Actually had i known it would be so streetable I probably would have bought another bigger cam.

What kind of programmer/tuner do you have? Or are you using a professional tuner

233/239 on a 112 is what I have. I made 406rwhp through the 9", should project 415-420 on a 10bolt. Here's a compilation video of some runs from our local track, the first run in the video is my buddy in the red TA with a 232/236 112lsa and roughly .560 lift cam and he has the TSP true duals. Mine is the blue trans with the 233/239 112lsa with borla exhaust. There is another run of me and a black mustang closer to the end of the video:

Well hell you can't even hear the idle in the video, you can hear my buddies idle but not mine. Do a search there are a couple 233/239 guys on here with idle videos, i've heard a few of them.

I do my own tuning with ls1edit. I barely gave this cam a tune, i am waiting to really tune it more until i get HPT. I did give it a tune for down low and idle, still nedds a little work though. car still drives great though. Im just tired of using ls1edit and just want to upgrade finally.

Is ls1 edit used through your laptop? If so how do I get it/what do I need and how much for everything? What are you trying to upgrade too?

Dont get ls1edit, its very outdated and basic compared to the other tuners that are in the same price range. HP Tuners or EFI Live is the way to go. I am upgrading to HP Tuners because LS1 Edit does not have all the nice tools and ease of use that the others have. I am just too lazy to do calculations anymore, the newer tuners have all kinds of neat functions in them that take a lot of guesswork out of tuning.

They all work via your laptop. Read some of the stickies in the tuning forum here to learn the tuning basics, its fun to learn.

HP tuner is the handheld one right? It that the one you would recommend?

Hp and EFI are both on the laptop, but EFI does now have a handheld unit as well with the laptop software. Both are really good.
