Default GM Part Numbers??

Does anyone know the part numbers for 99+ valve covers and the coil pack brackets?

Thank you,
Kyung

give Valvegod a shout in the classifieds for those parts, you'll probably save alot of money. Also, sounds like you're doing a 99+ head install on your 98. Here's a tip, buy a 99+ PCV system as well

'99's still have the same old POS PCV setup as the '98's. The revised PCV setup was introduced along with the LS6 intake, and requires the matching LS6 valley cover as well. This setup has the PCV outlet on the valley cover instead of from the valve covers.

To install the LS6 valley cover on a '98-99 LS1, you need to grind down a casting boss on the LS1 block. It just takes a few minutes w/ a cutting wheel.

Here are a few pics of the install:

OOPS --- I posted the link to the "album", instead of the actual pics. For some reason, I'm not able to edit my previous post.

Here are the links to the pics:

So what about the part numbers???

<img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Any for the LS6 valley cover, as this looks like something I may want to do as well.

I think I may have answered my own post...Is this the right number: 12568002

OK, now I am confused... Can somebody explain exactly what I need (assuming I change the PCV setup).

I am getting 5.3L heads for my 98Z. I have an LS6 intake.

Thanks again,
Kyung

This was posted in a LS1.Com thread

Don't know how acurate it is though:

Valley Cover, PN 12568003, $42, (includes cover, bolts & gaskets)

Valve Cover Plugs, PN 12568011 (drivers side), $3, (pass. side - use plastic vacuum cap from auto parts)

Pipe w PCV Valve, PN 12568010, $45, (PCV valve and tube that goes from the valley to the TB)

Tube, PN 12556454, $3, (tube that connects the pass. valve cover to the TB)

HitmanSS
the 98 driver side valve cover has a different PCV fitting than the 99+ (at the back of the cover)
