Which would be better... The 2001 LS6 heads or the 2002 LS6 heads? They would be going on a 98 LS1 that's going to be stroker to 382 ci. It will also have a set of FLP long tube headers and y-pipe, a B&B triflo catback, a Whisper lid and GMS MAF and LS6 intake.
I'm toying with the idea of getting a bigger cam as well, but I was wondering if I stayed with the stock cam, which of the two would be better for a 382? the 01 LS6 heads or the 02 LS6 heads? Or would it be better to just port the stock LS1 heads that I have?

Ported LS1 heads would flow better than unported LS6 heads. Personally, I'd go with ported LS6 heads. Choose your porter wisely.

Re: Which would be better... Well, I don't know either, but I have two different part numbers for BARE LS6 heads and they come with 2 different prices at GMPartsDirect.com....

So are they the same? If not, would it matter which I got if I was going to port them?
