Default Next logical step up in cam???

Currently running a comp grind MTI B-1. What would be a good step up that is not too radical.I don't really want to spin the motor higher than 6600 rpm
I was thinking something like a 226/226 - 114lsa.
Would it be worth the swap? Or should I go with a little more duration?

A 226/226 what? It will behave completely differently depending on what lobe series you grind it on.

If I were changing from the B1 and wanted another 10-15 RWHP I would go with the X1. It'll give you the power without raising your shift point.

Did you get your car tunned on the dyno yet Steve? I would definatly base my next cam choice on what power level your at now. Our S1 heads are usually done at a 218 cam at well over 400 RWH so your 22x cam right now shoud yeild some great numbers <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> .

Hi Joe
The dyno here in town is still not up and running so I haven't got any numbers yet but I did trap at 116.75 MPH (12.43 w/1.9 60ft.) at the track other day with a slightly slipping clutch which proves the car is making some good HP. I am just throwing around the idea of trying a different cam but may leave the B1 in.

Wont get much going to a bigger cam.
Leave the B1 alone,Its a good cam...

Most properly setup MTI S2/B1 setups run 118/121
Your alittle down on power.Joes right,u need to EDIT your setup for optimal power.
