I just installed the Katech pump and now see idle pressures varying between 20 to 38 psi. My stocker was running steady at 42ish at idle. BTW, I had good pressure with that pump, but thought I would get some peace of mind with the whole "failing pump" issue. Under increased rpm's the new pump seems normal. What are you guys seeing at idle? As a note, I did overfill a bit on the last oil change (when I did the pump swap) but if any thing that should raise the pressure <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" /> . I actually see a fluctuation at idle that is my main concern. I do have the TR224 cam...but again I had no fluctuation before.

mine is at 30-40 psi at warm idle (depending on oil temperature) I believe since they are ported to fix the casting flash problem but are not shimmed up that a slight loss of idle pressure can happen. I pull a good 60-70 psi at WOT

My Katech oil pump is slightly above 40 psi at idle and above 60 psi at WOT.
I use Red Line 10W30, if that matters. I just had my pump installed about 3 weeks ago.

I'm thinking about picking up a Katech oil pump and this is some good info to know. I also use Redline 10w30 and it's nice to know approximately the oil pressure that I should see when I install it.

Mine ran slightly lower than my stock pump with about 38 psi at hot idle and 58 psi at WOT. That was until I busted my pressure sending unit while installing my LS6 intake. I installed a new sending unit and it instantly read 45 to 50psi at warm idle and 70 to 75 psi at WOT. Don't trust your readout if you have an old sending unit.
PS: I ran some Royal Purple racing # 11 (which is like a 5W20) for a while in aug. and my pressure still was 40+psi at warm idle and 65ish psi at WOT

i had the same thoughts. at idle mine drops down to almost 20 and i am not sure about WOT. we broke the wire on my sender on my motor install, and soldered it so i am thinking that it may be a problem. i guess it has good pressure otherwise it would have let go by now.
