Hey, this is Kris, I was there at Jason's shop a couple of months ago for the DS and exhaust work. I have a 218/227 cam that I absolutely hate. Way too small for the 382 (first problem), not a very good idle, and it doesn't make nearly the power it could. I would suggest you stay away from split duration cams, the LS1 seems to really like matched cams.
