Default Absolute Speed Stage II +TR cam 11.27/119.7 first time out

The engine is running perfect, just needs a bit more idle tune. The TR224 cam and Absolute Speed Stage II heads,2.02I,1.55E milled .025 pull HARD.

My carrier went south, damn Auburn,no track prep.allowed for only a 2200rpm launch, normal is 2800-3000rpm.The car pulled a pathetic 1.56,60'on M/T 26x10x15 ET Drags and ran 11.27/119.7-no short belt and no block off for my FTRA worth an easy 1.5 MPH.

This car should have cut 1.45 to 1.49 60'if the track and rear would have held.I will see high 10s at 122mph soon.

I will also try to get a dyno, car made 327HP with bolt on's.I think over 400 easy with the Yank unlocked.

My thanks to Pete and Mike for keeping me sane at the track and all their help and loan of drag tires.

Jay,my Absolute Speed Stage II heads rock.Your install of my heads and cam flawless.

Check out Absolute Speed, great bang for the buck, they are sponsors here. All machine work done by Scott Merkel a well known engine builder.

Congrats on the times, but sucks for the other stuff...just more reason to replace it, and get a stronger one...if the wallet lets you <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> Congrats again, and hope to hear of 10s <img border="0" alt="[devil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />

Jfm, Glad to see your car pulling those times, you will definatly see over 400 rwhp even with the verter unlocked, Give us a call, we will help you with your rear situation so we can see some 10's and 122 mph next time out.
