TR224 vs TSP228r
Thanks for the replies, keep em coming

This was on a really hot day and some lousy dyno weather.
There's more in it, I just haven't taken the time to take it back for more tuning.
It has good street manners, since the TR224 is a pretty small cam, oh, and mine is on a 112 LSA.

I went to the 228R (which is only 10 RWHP more than the TR224) and AFR heads and put down 425 RWHP 400 RWTQ.
If you do the math. I knew the 228R would give me 10 RWHP and that AFR heads gave me 45 RWHP. Going into the new set up, while I was doing the math, I was expecting 40 RWHP from the heads.
There is no great differant feeling ( SOTP) on 10 RWHP.
I do have some bucking/ surging with the 228R, but that is the tune not that cam.
I have a TQR V2 112 sitting on the shelf in my garage that is burning to go in the car. Im not sure if Ill do it.
Bottom line. there is about a 10 RWHP difference between the cams when you have all the bolt ons. You should not have much differance on gas milage with the exception of your going to get on the car more with the cam in it. that's why your gass milage will go down.
If you go with the TR224 on a 112, you will enjoy it.
In my sig is my car's idle with the 228R on a 114 and the AFR heads. There is another web site and I think it's called LS1sounds.com that has my car with the TR224 on a 114.

Thanks
After the 228R and the heads, most of my power seemed above 3500 RPMs
I love the car with the 228R and the AFR heads since I had 3:90s installed.
Both of my cams were on 114. Go with the 112.

Cam drives great. No loss of Gas Milage. I would go tr224. If I were to do a different cam, I would probably go with the Tony Mamo Recepe cam. I think it is a 224/228 cam.
