i went with the 224/224 114 from ls1 speed and love it.. basically the same cam, but i saved alotta cash with the comp .563 lift

My TR224-112 will be here on Tuesday . I already got the car tore down for the swap, unfortunately, my current Isky springs need to be swapped with the Isky D-295's which will add some more time to complete it. Are the Hotcam springs good enough for the TR224?

antta99, the comp 224 and the TR224 aren't really the same. Contrary to what people think, the TR224 has a faster ramp rate than the XE-R cam and both cams are pretty hard on the valve train. That's one of the reasons TR doesn't have such a high lift...

The hot cam springs are barely strong enough for the hot cam from what ive read and what ive been told.I have new springs, titanium retainers and new push rods coming also.Im gonna thrash Friday nite to get it all together for Saturday track testing.

Cool, looks like your all set, but you have a hell of a lot of work to get done in one night .
