I am wanting to run a 230/230 .570/.570 112lsa cam but my heads are milled .030thous. and I will be using .034thous. thick head gaskets which should yield me about 11:1:1 compression.I know it will work with stock headgaskets but not sure with the thinner ones. Can someone measure for me sense I dont know how. Thanks a lot.

Where in Fort Worth are you located...I could come over and show you how, cause the best way is to do it on your application. Though, I just thought of something. Do you have the cam yet?

ALONZO - Checking piston to valve is not that hard. Usually your closest points are 10 degrees before TDC for the exhaust and 10 degrees after TDC for the intake. Move your piston to those marks and tha you can put a dial indiacator on your valve. Open the valve till it just touches the piston, read your indicator and that is your piston to valve clearance. You can move the crank a little bit from side to side after you get your reading at 10 degrees and remeasure, you will see the clearance getting tighter and than getting bigger.
Thanks,
Chris
