Valvetrain noise and KR?
I get a ton of KR at part throttle, but none at WOT. If you added a cam and didn't run any better at the track, you are either pulling 6+ degrees of it, or something else is very wrong.
Rewrote my low Octane table w/ the high octane chart and no more probs. Instant 40hp, at least!
The car runs good, but it does seem to have lost a it of pull below 4k rpms. The cam was installed straight up with the SLP double chain.
The valvetrain is pretty noisey even when the car warms up, when yu sit inside with the radio on it sounds almost like an exhaust leak.
My question is does anyone else have this problem? Also has anyone auto tapped to see if it messes with the knock sensors.
The reason I ask is I took my car to the track and my times did not improve (same 60ft time also). The MPH did pick up by 1.8mph.
THe car will be going on the dyno shortly. I don't have atap anymore but I am about ready to buy it again.
Even with all that racket, I have never seen more than 1 degree of KR.
