Default valvetrain noise after wot?

after a hard wot runthrough 1st, 2nd, and 3rd my engine starts making very loud valvetrain noise, just like it had a bent pushrod, but it goes away after 3 or 4 minutes.

the car is not stock , i have a blower, iron block, comp cams cam and lifters and crane 1.8 rockers.

what could be causing this? could it be a collapsed lifter? should i switch to heavier oil ( currently using synth. 10w-30)?

If motor runs rough after beat runs than you probably have lifter pump up from valve spring control issues. If it runs fine, just noisy than you probably have collapsing lifter/s.

the engine runs as smooth as it did before the run. so if it's a colapsing lifter , what would the cure be? would putting thicker oil in help?
or do i have to replace the lifters?( please tell me i don't have to cause i just did 2k miles ago)

what lifters would be best? ( i had cranes and the suck, and i have comps right now, not the type-r)

you shouldnt have to run heavy oil, i run 0-30w Mobil 1. What is your lifter preload with your current setup and what does Comp.recc. for those lifters?

right now it's set up ar 3/4 of a turn , which is about 0.058" preload.

dude 1 quart of marvles mystery oil and call it a day.... could possiably be dirt or a piece of carbon restricting oil pASSage to one of the lifters.... try it 1st before ya rip it down....

the problem is it only makes it after a wot run , not all the time , so if it was a dirt particle it would do it all the time.

I think you are going to HAVE to tear it apart and find out what exactly is going on.
You may have to put up with some valvetrain noise with some parts. I say try the Comp Magnum R lifters.
Good luck and let us know what you find.

if it is a collapsed lifter , which should i use?
i already used cranes ( used for 2 weeks ) and tossed them out cause of exssessive valvetrain noise at all times, and now i'm using comp cam's lifters ( non magnum-R).

someone please help
