Sounds good man, it actually sounds just like my cam, both of opurs have 10 degrees of overlap so that may be why. Congrats man.

 

Sounds great! I'm surprised it idles and performs well after some of the other threads on here (ie. the guy with the 228/232 110+4 cam). I'm very interested in your dyno #'s after the tune.

 

You are running stock heads?

 

You will prob. hit 390 to the ground, i had a 01 ss with a MTI Z1 Cam and full Bolt ons, Ls6 intake...through a 4k Stall, Put down 380/370 locked, sounds good though man. Your tires will hate you...

 

Kind of funny. That's the exact cam he spec'd for my 6 speed car........

 

did you happen to check ptv clearance? this sounds like a good cam for a customer of mine, but were looking at putting on heads also that may be milled for even better dcr. I'll bet that cam has pretty decent dcr on stock heads though being 230 dur. and only 106 icl. get a tune and repost so we can know how it drives. I bet it'll drive pretty tight with all that low/mid range torque Im thinking it'll make.

 

If I remember right the DCR is 8.0x

 

Sounds great, now I know what to expect. Very symmetrical sounding. Quite a few I've heard seem to hunt a lot.

 

it took some playing with the throttle body idle screw to get it to run, as at the stock setting it wouldn't stay running...

yes stock heads, will most likely do heads next year though.

never checked PTV clearance (yeah I know ) will have to if/when I get heads though. Probably go with some TFS heads as they really seem to be doing well...

Not real surprised on the spec for 6 speed being the same, if you were looking for the same type of setup I was
