Default TR224 in and dyno'd!!!

Finished the cam (TR224 on a 112 LSA)Friday night and got it Dyno'd Saturday morning. Here's the results and this is with the TC locked and cutout open:

390.3 RWHP and 399.1 RWTQ

Pevious best with the Comp 216/220 cam was:

371.4 RWHP and 356.1 RWTQ

Needless to say, I was pretty happy with those #'s <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Also went to the track that night and got a new best N/A in the Sig...

Great numbers Dan! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> How much ET/MPH did you pick up with the swap?

Stock heads?, headers?

What other mods to you have?

Regardless, those are some great numbers!

Thanks Guy's!

I picked up .2 and 2 MPH. To be honest, there is more in this setup. I didn't have my shift points set right and I didn't run later in the evening when the temp's were cooler cause of them cracking down on me about no cage and 5 point harness. I think there is another .1 and 1 MPH left in the setup though.

I have CNC S1 heads I got about a year and a half ago, TTS headers, and LS6 intake, Pro Yank tranny, PY3400E. My car made 289 RWHP @ 304 RWTQ 100% stock...

I really like the idle, sounds real good. It's not smooth though, even at 850 RPM it has a nice lope to it, but it's very streetable. Wish I had a Vid camera so I could post a sound clip up for ya...

Dan stopped racing WAY early in the night. I'm sure if he could have ran AFTER he 20deg temp drop <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> he would have beat my best N/A time (11.86@114).

Then I'd really hate him! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Like Outlaw told me, I'm gonna bless my S2+ GTPs with the blood of a thousand virgins then I'm gunning for you Dan! On bottle and Off!!!

Good numbers Dan, glad the cam worked out for you. Now it's time to upgrade those heads. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I'm glad to hear that it is streetable. Given that I won't be doing heads anytime soon, I wonder if I might be better served to get a smaller cam than that. On the other hand, stock LS1 heads do flow exceptionally well.

I think it will be fine, but I hear the Hot Cam works pretty decent on stock heads as well. My previous Comp 216/220 would also work well. The TR220 is a good choice also. I hear the MMS 218 cam does real well on stock heads to. I wish I would of went with this cam (TR224) to start with, but at the time my goals were different and they just keep changing.
