head gaskets - did search, still confused!
o.k. - i got a set of GTP stage 2's milled .030" w/ 10.8 comp ratio. looking to get head gastets, and read that felpro makes them in .041" thickness (stock is .054"?). i wouldnt mind a little more comp ratio (target was 11.0) and i'm wondering if they (felpro's) will be fine to use? my cam is a T1 spec lunati.
and i read all the posts that came up in the search. i would like to get the APR bolts w/ the money i save on head gaskets.

Sorry I don't have an answer for you.
Are your heads 5.7L?
I have read recently that 5.7L heads milled .030" results in 10.5:1 instead of 10.8:1.
I was under the impression when I had my heads done that I would be at 10.8:1 with the standard GM head gasket, I now have found out I am at 10.5:1
I am looking for 11.0/11.1:1 as well.
TTT for ya!

Glen, going to a thinner HG will raise your CR, but its the same as milling the heads. You still loose ~15 thou of PTV. Would you put on a set of heads milled 45 thou? Thats awful close for not flycutting them. If you do, just clay it and see what it comes out to
