Default Looking for lopey, but streetable cam

Hey,
I'm a little new to this, but I am looking to do a cam swap and get Hooker LT's probably this spring. I have a '99 SS, M6. I really want that lopey sound that the 60's (read: real) musclecars make, but I don't want to lose reliability. Also, I'm definitely a fan of power (no surprise) but this is my daily driver so streetability has to take priority. If you could advise me on which cams to look at I'd be grateful. Thanks in advance for your help.

Mike

If you don't want something quite that big, the T1 is a good choice. Makes excellent power, has a nice lope to it, and is still very streetable.

So if the T1 is a good choice, would the C1 be a better choice?

I just put the TR224/112lsa cam in my 99 T/A M6 and the streetability is excellent.Probably the 114lsa would be a bit smoother but you would still notice a lope to the idle.I havent had a chance to dyno the car yet.FWIW.

224/224 112 will do the trick.

C1 would be a good choice. Nice lope, not crazy and very streetable. I hope to have a video of mine available by this weekend.

No, I will not be getting ported heads. I just don't have the money. But I figure that LT's and a cam and the usual bolt-ons can give me quite a bit more power, not too mention that great sound I'm looking for.

Well with an M6, GM'S Hotcam has a nice lope to it, is streetable and with FLP's I gained 60-70 hp on a basically stock car. Plus it's hard to beat the price on a cam and spring kit like the Hotcam's.
