WOW, this got interesting!! If the car doesn't make 400+, I won't complain. As we all know, dyno#s don't mean much, I was just curious to see what some of you guys thought.

I haven't met Joe in person, just over the phone, but he seems like a good guy, and is sincere in putting out a good product, so thats why choose his heads (price was right too).

As it sits right now, the best pass is 12.16 @ 110.8, so adding the heads, cam, LS6 intake, and ASP pulley, it should run....well lets just wait and see <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Thanks for your input guys.

Albert

I ran my car for the VERY FIRST TIME EVER with this setup/gears. Shift points need to be changed among other things.

I will tell your soon to be customers that when I was running my car at 12.41 ETs with only 2.73 GEARS, SLP Loudmouth, Pro Torque 2800 convertor, nittos and an air lid. YOUR STAGE 1 Heads/cam STICK car was only running 12.2s. ROFLMAO!!!!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> Man, if I wanted to run 12.2s I would have just put gears and or headers on my car. and ran faster then your STAGE 1 Heads/CAM car.

As for my car and it's ETs/ MPH WATCH OUT... when I have the time to go with Julio and get it worked out it will go...

One last thing... I never ONCE posted to you. In that post on ls1.com I posted to JS about JS and had nothing to do with you or your shop/set ups. Go and look at the post again.

oh I'm posting my sig.(which I always do) but have no clue what it looks like... I dont remember the last time I updated it.

DDDDDDAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> Hey Miriah, didn't you run like 12.10 @ over 112 mph in your Formula with with the heads-n-cam, stock suspension, 2.73s and a 3500 conveter?? That doesn't seem too bad considering you got those numbers with screwed up shift points and just base tuning. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

You guys crack me up. You pay these shops money for parts(assumption)...and then proceed to defend them like you got everything for free. JS = Cartech, Terry = MMS, Tony = MTI, Chris = ARE. Are you guys all on the payroll?

JP98SS,How many 3545lbs cars are running 10's w/a H/C setup?

Answer------->ZERO!!!!!

I'll take the shot u gave me JP,God knows I'm game for the insults. But at least be honest.

There's only 7 cars in the country running 10's on a sock shortblock and ALL of them are 3400lb or lighter.(Not counting Solid rollers)

The reason this BS started was because Stevie and
Brien cant accept my opinion of this setup. There wasnt ANY knocks from me,just an opinion and Joe was man enough to admit he hasnt built any 400RW catted,auto's,220 cam setups as of yet.

The rest is all BS....
Joe I wasnt knocking your abilities bud.
Just giving an opinion. The guy did ask for one.

This really is quite funny.

All I have to say is my signature reflects the truth. I don't post dyno figures unless it was my car on the rollers.

JS, I just thought it was quite funny that someone asked about a shop's setup that you haven't been around to have any clue of what it will produce. You were the first person to respond and I think it's quite ironic.

I'll be happy to post my dyno figures vs et/mph any day. All I know is, if I had 417hp I'd be going alot quicker than 12.xx @ 113. But then again JS we all know dyno numbers don't really reflect et or mph accurately.

Why would I post that on LS1.Kiddy's.com for? The subject came up in THIS post after JS brought it up again, I thought you were laughing at that LS1.com conversation that JS and I were having, without knowing you were laughing at Joel BUT I didn't catch that part of the conversation because it wasn't even in the post we were in (off topic), I gave you ample warning to spill "what so funny" and you came back in that it was a misunderstanding, so don't tell me I don't have the ***** BECAUSE you were asked by me. Now, you told Erin to throw away her heads and cam package at E-Town and I took alot of offence to your stupid statement, but I never said a word. You were running fine at 12.14 but the MPH didn't add up to your advertised Sig and if you were having "problems" I wasn't aware of it and I can and will tell you that to your face in person, WTF am I doing? arguing on the internet, damn I'm as bad as you guys now. Well, it's off for my long deserved vacation so you can all talk amongst eachother and I will catch up next week.

Quote from Miriah,

Sorry, but I couldn't let this one go! lol!

There is a big ET/MPH difference between A4's and M6's at the track even more so if modded if you haven't figured that out, lets take a two different trans A4 vs M6 stock cars for example, Stock A4 running 13.10 at 108, throw a 3,600 stall or better and it will drop 5-6 tenths in the quarter, it happens all the time, so that car can run 12.5x's at 109 on a 1.7x 60' mark all day with a tire under it which happens all the time too. Now a stock M6 will run say 13.10 at 110 but will not go faster in ET untill you put torque multiplication to it, ie gears for a stick, or a converter to an auto. Now gear that M6 that just ran a 13.10 and it will drop to a 12.70 in change or better at 111 on a 1.82 60' mark. So, take your 3,200 stall 273 gears, your headers, cat back,224 cam and 417 rwh and you run 113 MPH, see ow that dosen't add up? You should still be running at the very least at your weight 115 mph which would be 117 in a stick with the same power. Now a stick car is harder to 60' mark unless you have a great clutch and a minimum of 3.73 gears optimal 4.10's with good driving skills to go along with that, you can go by the MPH of a stick or auto to get an idea of what ET is left in the car from a better launch or lack of tire rotation off the 60' mark meaning, 118 trap speed in a M6 is equal to 116 mph in an auto, there is about a 2mph difference between the two trannys to an extent. Dennis has a stock geared, stock convertered, stock weight WS6 S2 car on stock F1's with the sway bar on that runs in the 116-117 range at 11.92 that dynos only 411 rwh THROUGH CATS but I have already mentioned that, see what I mean? But thats a street car with cats on and always will be. It didn't add up unless there is more issues with your car than you have posted from the first time you ran it in the 12.14 range and I didn't see any mention of problems untill recently (trans shift) And this S1 12.20 ET car that you mention (Erins?) runs 11.90 at 118.72 now with a set of 4.10 gears in it now instead of stock 3.42's so I fail to see the funny part?

Do you have a dyno sheet to post? I would like to look at it.

Joe.

Brien,MPH refects RWHP.
ET is a function of susp.,gearing, tire, traction and weather?

Arent u a college boy?
I thought u were smarter than this buddy?

My car make 430RW threw a 12-bolt/4.10 and my MPH is 122.
I think u might wanna RE-think your last post <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Come on now, cant we all just get along? Why does it seem like every post on this board just turns into some kinda flame-war?

Whats the point of this argument anyhow? He should get the stuff installed on the car and get it dynoed.

Joe is a standup guy. He helped me out a lot with my car, and I had none of his parts on my car. He will however be doing some work on my car in the future. His cars produce good numbers consistantly, and he is ever improving. The poor guy who just wanted an estimate on how his car would do will be pleased with the results I am sure.

Phil/Miriah are good folk too. Just my 2 cents, and I dont know the whole situation, but get the car tuned and then dynoed, dont assume it has 417rwhp or whatnot just because some other cars with that package have that. Every car is different. Im sure it will scream when its all set.

JS -- I think a low 11 is pretty good with h/c. Id be thrilled if my car ran like that, but alas I lost 3rwhp from my ARE heads, so I have to fix that problem first. Remember weight, driver skill, temp, etc.. have a lot to do with times.

Joe.</strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">OK, first off... why wouldn't post that on ls1.kiddy's.com? If you can post that about me here why not to me over there where I'll see it? (NO *****)

JS never mentioned (in this post) how my car has ran after my new set up. You did!

Give me a break man. Can you read? Go back to that LS1.Kiddy's.com post and re read it! In the same post I was saying "hehe" to JS and you asked what was so funny. I had quoted and posted to you telling you what I was saying "hehe" to. I took the quote from page one and the that post ended up on page 2 in the SAME POST!

Warning me? Do you think I'm worried about you Joe? hahah

I NEVER told Erin to throw away her heads/cam. NEVER! If that's what she or anyone else told you they are full of ****! When I ran that 12.41, I walked into the lanes where Erin and MANY OTHERS where who had heads/cam in their cars and said "heads/cam" who needs them. I"m running 12.41s w/out! and I was <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> That's what was said nothing more nothing less.

If I have something to say I say it. I dont beat around the bush and I dont lie. I just say it! I think I proved that here!

Once again your full of ****. Go re read the post about my times. That I made in TaToys (I think that's his name) post. He asked how my car did and I was at work and Phil posted for me saying that my car had some probs with shift points and what not and we posted my times. RIGHT THEN AND THERE YOU SAW IN THE POST that my car had probs.

Yeah yeah yeah... you just did the whole listen to hearsay and lies yourself. Thinking I said to throw away Erins heads/cam. I never said it...there for hearsay and lies!

Lets get it right you NEVER Helped me. I NEVER asked for your help. You lent me your BFS when I didn't even know you very well. I said I might cook them you said you didn't care. Hey man you made the offer I took it. I said thanks! Keep in mind that's lending something not HELPING.

I've always been a CARTEK car! Julio, Dave, Roy, Rich, Kevin and Mike... they've helped me they have worked on my car!

Enjoy your time off Joe...

Phil/Miriah are good folk too. Just my 2 cents, and I dont know the whole situation, but get the car tuned and then dynoed, dont assume it has 417rwhp or whatnot just because some other cars with that package have that. Every car is different. Im sure it will scream when its all set.
</strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">thanks man <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> your good people too. I like buying goodies from you! As for the dyno #. that was done before I put the 4.10s in. I never put it back on the dyno after the 4.10s so that dyno number is from the old gears. I just havn't changed the sig in a while. Sorry about that.

You have 430hp and trap 122mph, that's right where you should be. Some other people who dyno only 15-20 less hp are almost 10mph slower. How's that math work?

No problem 99Black T/A..

I ran my Best ET 11.36 with Joe's setup in MINESHAFT DA's------> -1640

I ran my BEST ET 11.14 with Carteks setup in fair DA's-------> -243

I went 118 MPH w/JPR's setup -1640
I went 122 MPH w/Carteks setup -243

Now factor in the Density altitude and figure about a 1.2 ET drop,1 MPH too.

The Cartek setup is about 3.5ET/4MPH better than JPR's setup. But u really cant compare them to each other though,Its not fair.Carteks setup should be better,Its more radical..

I've come to realize though, that once u hit 11.40's,tenths are harder to come by when racing a car.Just pick who u like as far as tuners and continue to tweek that persons package.U cant go wrong with this scenario.

Truthfully u can ask JOR PRINCE why I took HIS parts off my car.Maybe Brien will elaborate since he really knows why I did it,FWIW at least 4 others know the real truth.

The truth is I gave an opinion about a setup in this post.Brien got alittle paranoid and came into the post and took it upon himself to insinuate I was knocking JPR..

I NEVER made any accusations about JOES work.Just that I thought 400RW threw cats, auto and 220 cam was not realistic. And if the guy had CARTEK heads on his car I wouldve said the same darn thing.

Black, remember when your paranoid u have all sorts of distorted views going threw your mind.I guess he really thought I was taking shots at JPR,Sadly he was mistaken.Brien was sticking up for his bud,I cant fault him for that..

Let this BS go guys.Its stupid,If this guy makes more than 400RW I'm buying dinner <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
