Default What Springs for C2 Cam?

The one with a X-ER lobes that are 224 duration at .050" lift and .581" lift.

What would be a good single spring for stock retainers. Im thoroughly confused <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" /> , it seems some of them break like the comp cams 918 and 941s. The isky springs sound cool but at way expensive after buying the required retainers. Scoggin Dickey sell some springs and retainers for 180 bucks. There are made by Manley and are suppose to be good up to .600" lift. They have comperable closed and open pressures. Has anyone tried them?

Im tempted to go with a lower lift grind and avoid all the spring breakage issues. What should I do?

Just ante up the money for the springs... if you wanna play. You got to pay.

Sorry, but that is a pretty steep ramped cam.

918's are what i would recommend.

Good luck and email me if i can help further.

Isky has the 295D which is VERY good spring
Its a TOOL ROOM variety.

Now u must wait till they release there new locators, retainers and shim, keeper kit in 2 weeks to install them correctly.DO NOT TAKE THE DAMPER OUT OF THIS SPRING if u buy it.The NEW locater make the damper isues all better now and other parts make this one of the best options out to date, unless your going duel setup.

I;m gonna try a set of these very soon to see how the psi vary after 30 runs.It seems the XE-R lobes are very hard on springs and can really play havoc on the valvetrains spring psi.I would NOT run a 918

Only other option would be the REV setup but again u need to use there locater, retainer and shim kit along with checking all installed height too..

With XE-R lobes I would want a dual spring.

The REV dual springs should be worth looking at Thunder Racing sales them and they do not require maching the heads. I think they cost about $335 for all the retainers and seats etc.
