Nick G's GTP/Piglet combo rocks again!!!
I finally got this setup installed and finished up yesterday and MAN what a differece!!
For those who are new to my setup. I had a set of heads/cam that were not performing up to expectations (which are gonna be fixed by the manufacture so it's all good, they are taking care of me on that) so I purchased Nick Gette's old combo from his Viper Steel Grey WS6. They are GTP S2+ heads (317cfm intake,220cfm exhaust@.575. The cam is the notorious Piglet cam 223/.588/112 with it's super fast ramp rate! The cam idle'd perfect right off the bat has much better drivability than my old 226/234 cam.
I have all your bolt on junk with FLP long tubes and no cats and some weight reduction, with cage I am around 3400lbs.
I took the car for a spin yesterday and OMG! This thing pulls WAY harder than my old setup and all the way to 6400rpm (current shift points) like a madman! There is no drop in power at all, you mash it in 2nd (1st will kill ANY tire I have on it, ET Streets included) and it just flat out pulls and pulls into 3rd then continues to pull...
The car now feels N/A like it used to on the bottle. I doubt I'll run 122mph traps N/A simply because of the TQ nitrous puts down but I'll be damned if I don't see 118mph or so with tuning!
All I can say is thx Nick for the privlage of buying such a potent combo! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
I'll be doing some tuning and will have dyno #'s and some track #'s in about a week. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

I have the same setup waiting for my car (GTP s2 5.3's, and piglet cam) I really cant wait to get them installed <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> I decided to finish up my NX Direct port kit first though <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" />

I will definately hit the track this week sometime.
Bad Habit,
You'll love the combo and wear some Depends when you hit it with the direct port! I can't imagine what it is going to feel like when I upgrade my dry kit to a 150hp wet-kit! Woo hoo!

So you are the one who got those heads and cam <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> Congrats, from someone who has raced that car personally you won't be dissapointed!

It was me <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
I did some basline tuning last night and found I had a ton of KR and only 22deg of timing (stock is 28) yet the thing still pulled like a raped ape!!
I am going to tune some more tonight and I'm bringing some race gas just to make sure it is not octane oriented.
I might have to drop my stock timing lower with all this compression on 91 octane. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />
Funny thing is. My friend that is helping me tune has a 02' Z06 that runs 12.19@121mph and he said my car pulls harder. and I have an auto! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />
