Im thinking of getting a 4.10" bore re-sleeved LS1 block and was wondering if anybody has used Hard-Block in there re-sleeved motor.
It seems like if the water-jacket was filled even just a small amount it would help stabilize the sleeves and eliminate the possibility of the coolant leaking past the bottom of the sleeve.
Any thoughts?

You can't use Block Filler in an aluminum block.
why would you want to do this... ARE is making 900rwhp with their BiG Bore blocks with no problems.

I talked to a guy who has a ARE sleeved motor and he said Nick from ARE actually recommended filling the water jackets about a 1/3rd up with Hard-Blok. Maybe ARE already puts it in there resleeved motors? Hard-Block's website says it "has been tested and proven effective with aluminum blocks".

Seems like some extra cheap insurance.

the guys I use locally for machining said the same as Sled28 when I was thinking about it.
It just doesn't work well with aluminum blocks.

expansion rates are differant for aluminum versus iron. hard block is for iron.
now if some fancy stuff came out that would have the same expansion rate as the aluminum, that would actually be a good thing.
