I am getting a built shortblock need help with parts!
I am considering geting the 347 LME built shortblock, it is a very nice setup and a good price. I need help with the following info on parts.
What oil pumps would you guys recomend. I am running a stock fbody ls1 and do some drag racing. I don't want a overly high volume pump incase of sucking the pan dry...
Double roller timing sets, I will be spinning the motor alittle over 7k and I pretty stuck on the double roller setups. What experineces have you guys had with the companys available. good prices etc.
Dampers, could I get away with the stock harmonic balancer or should I invest the extra money into a zero balance harmonic balancer. If so what are some resonable priced ones, the ati one is alittle steep.
Thanks so much,
Mark

Look in the for sale section. Youll see an underdrive pulley in there for a decent price every now and then. As for the other components, talk to LME about it and see what they say.

Just get a ported LS6 pump that's been shimmed for more pressure. That pump is enough for just about any setup on here unless you insist on running extremely loose clearances. If you run 6qts (with longer filter) it won't suck the pan dry.
