Can a stock LS1 bottom end handle 500rwhp created by ATI procharger
Know of a few guys running ATI procharger-Disc running about only 5 lbs with heads/cam/intake/headers on their C5s, and putting about 500rwhp on a stock bottom end LS1.
Do you honestly believe that these stock bottom procharger cars making around 500rwhp will stand tuff with time, after HARD DRIVING from both a launch and a roll and:
What reliability problems would you anticipate those C5s making 500rwhp via a procharger to be faced with?
Thanks,

I did a heads/cam/intake/every bolt on 98 Corvette with stock bottom end. Its had a 200-250 shot nitrous on it for two years now, with hundreds of 1/4 mile passes and about 100 bottles through it.
It makes 550 rwhp on the dyno and its never had a problem.

it is possible the only thing that would be a confict is the persons driving style. it wont stand up to flooring it after every corner but casual driving and then maybe 4 races a month yea it would hold up

Jeff Nation has a ATI D1SC on a 2002 Z06 with CNC heads and a camshaft.
The car makes 720HP on a stock bottom end @ 10psi
He drives it around with the boost turned down to about 6 or 8 lbs. I think the car makes 620 at those levels.

J ROD:
Million dollar question would be how hard does he drive/beat his car on the street. I just can't seem to ever take mine out for a weekend spin without doing a couple of WOT launches ending up in a smoke show, but then again i'm silly that WAY! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />

Ive got a 98 ss camaro motor, MAC headers, SLP MAF, ported TB, ls6 intake, 200 shot nitrous, asp underdrive pulley, ls1 edit software (this is swapped into a 2700lb full weight 91 corvette)
What kind of horsepower gains would i be looking at with a 02' Z06 cam over the stock cam? I really dont have the $400 to throw down on a TR230 cam, but i can get this one for $100
AND :

Also is this in your C4 Vette or in a C5?

Vince. That is the RWHP... 720 to the tires @ 10psi.
I don't remeber who made the airbridge. But he had to replace the one that procharger sent. It kept blowing off the car under high boost.
If you look for post by jnation on z06vette.com there is a who set of posts about the buildup, etc...
