Default What cam for my car???

I am wondering what you all think would be a good daily driver cam or in other words street/strip cam? I use a 150 shot at times so it has to like the N20 too. I might eventually set it up to a 200 shot. I mostly run on the motor though. Let me know what you all think. My mods are in my sig. Thanks.

Do you want to get custom tuning or do you want to avoid it?

G5 or similar sounds good in your application. If you dont want to get computer tuning I'd go with a TR224 or smaller though. I forgot to check your sig to see if you have headers, if you dont you definenently want those.

From my understanding if your spraying less than a 200 shot of NOS, it's often works just as well to select a good cam for NA and not worry too much about how the cam works with NOS. Since you run NA most of the time, I'd plan for best NA.

I think for daily driver the TR-220 will be hard to beat for the power it makes. Also two Comp Cams with good driveability. From TR's website.

216 / 220 .525 / .532 114 LSA 1300-6300 RPM Power Band. Computer Tuning Required with automatic transmission cars. One of our most popular cams...This has proven to be a very well balanced camshaft in that it makes good power across the entire RPM range. Works well with Crane 1.8 Roller Rockers. View Dyno Graph

63-LS-212/218 Comp Cams LS1 Camshaft - 212 / 218 .522 / .529 114 LSA 1200-6000 RPM Power Band. Excellent low-end power. Mild Camshaft, great for automatic cars with the stock or mild aftermarket torque converter and daily drivers. Works well with Crane 1.8 Roller Rockers.

I think the G5 could work very nice too, but I would want tuning. I think the G5 is something like a 224 XE-R intake with a 230 XE exhaust. Dual springs would be nice to have with the very fast intake ramps. If your going to do heads later, I would pick a complementary cam for the heads. The TR-220, TR-224, Comp Cams 220 to 224 XE-R's all have excellent potential.
