New here...Can I do heads with stock headers?
I am looking into putting an Ls1 in my rx7, and the clearances are pretty tight. I am not sure if their are any headers that have the same size as the stockers. Aftermarket Headers will most likely not clear. Basically, I want 380-400 whp, with no cats, some type of heads/cam, ls6 intake and a custom airbox. I am hoping I can find 450 crank horsepower for my sub 2800 pound rx7. Thanks for any tips, and I will show some slips when I get it up and running. Thanks

I have 392rwhp, stock exhaust manifolds, stock cats, so yes, it can be done. That is with heads/cam done. You need to pick your heads/cam combo wisely. If you get a substandard combo it'll do around 360-370 through stock manifolds/cats.

Maybe a shorty header would work? Custom headers maybe? I think 380rwhp is very doable w/ stock manifolds. In fact I know people have made 380rwhp w/ stock manifolds I just can't think of their names.
